summer chamber musicPlay trios, quartets or other works for strings, winds & piano with peers! CMC’s Chamber music serves the musical development of young musicians by refining ensemble skills & interpretive abilities through instruction with some of the region’s top performing-artist instructors. Players are placed into chamber groups by audition (see below). Ensembles have one hour each day with their coach, then rehearse a second hour supervised by an intern coach. All groups perform their finished work on Saturday, July 27th at 2pm.

Concertante Orchestra
Andrew Ehrlich, conductor
Monday-Friday: 1:30-3
If you have done your practicing to learn a concerto, this is the place to be!  Join this chamber orchestra that gives students who have learned solo pieces a chance to play with a real orchestra, not just piano accompaniment. Soloists then become a part of the orchestra playing for their fellow students. Participants are chosen by audition (see below). Students may choose to play in the orchestra without playing a solo.

These two programs together make a great day-camp experience!
