Rollover FAQs

Do I need to re-register for the next term?

Most CMC classes are 3-term programs: students are automatically rolled over to winter and spring term from fall unless the CMC office is notified of a withdrawal.  The activities remain at the same day and time.

If you need to change the time of your lesson, stop by the CMC office and complete a schedule change request form (note that it is not always possible to accommodate every change request).

When do I pay for the next term?

Pay by the first class of the new term.  You may pay by phone (503-823-3177) in advance to avoid potential waits in line.  We don't send out billings for classes or instrument rentals, so you need to remember to pay this tuition to avoid creating a past-due balance on your Parks & Recreation account, or potentially lose your place to a waitlisted student or have your instrument recalled.

Which classes don't roll over?

  • Early childhood music classes (Creepers and Toddlers Explore, Exploring Together & Launch Pad to Learning) don't roll over.  You may register for multiple terms at one time, however.

  • Make Music PDX does not roll over.  New groups are established each time.

  • Senior Recreation piano classes do not roll over.  Students re-enroll every term.

  • Monthly, or irregularly-scheduled classes such as Drum Circle don't roll over.

Participants re-enroll for these non-rollover activities every term (or every time for monthly/irregular classes).
