First Thursday Music


The Community Music Workshop is an all-volunteer organization that offers free, drop-in informal concerts in the CMC Auditorium on the first Thursday of every month (September through June) at 10:30 am. See our events listing for more information. 


Viola Showcase Concert


The Oregon Viola Society is having a big recital at CMC on Sunday, October 5 at 3 pm, with free admission for all, no tickets necessary. See our events listing for more information. 


Drop-In and Play

CMC is partnering with the Multnomah County Library to provide free individual instrument lessons at local branches, no registration required. Come by, sign up, and try it!



Funding Update

The Portland City Council has referred a Local Option Levy to Portland voters for the November ballot.

  • January 5: Winter Term Begins
