Background
There are two Tax Increment Finance (TIF) District Community Leadership Committees, made up of local area residents, business owners, and community members who live, work, and play in the district, working on 5-year Action Plans to guide significant financial investment in specific East Portland neighborhoods over the next five years. One for 82nd Avenue corridor, and one for East of I-205.
The Action Plans will focus on permanent, physical development needs for the corridor. Before building a strategy, the committees want to learn about your perspective on the 82nd Avenue corridor as a physical space. What are its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, and aspirations and what potential results would you like to see?
They’ve already heard from local community members in terms of development needs and seek your help in ranking those items in terms of importance to you, as well as add anything you think is missing. This information will help inform the Community Leadership Committee’s discussion and recommendations on investment priorities for the next five years.
